Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas has said that the club cannot consider themselves to be one among the great due to the lack of consistency in the league.

The 5-1 defeat showed that Tottenham are long way behind the big clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United according to William Gallas. The defender has been one of the impressive performers for the club this season, but like every other Tottenham player, his form has also dipped in recent weeks. He has not been able to get the same kind of defensive strength alongside Ledley King, who is now set to undergo a major operation. Ledley King has been unable to train for a good number of years now.
“I think we have to improve a lot. Even if we have good players and a good squad this result shows we are not ready yet. The atmosphere is very bad – the mood is very down. Yes, everybody is worried because at the beginning of the season everybody was talking about us, saying we play good football, we can finish third, we are 10 points in front of Arsenal. Now we are five points behind them and we have lost the semi-final,” said Gallas after the FA Cup semi-final defeat.
