William Gallas is in retirement today, having last played as a footballer for the French side. His leading role was that of a defender. His football career has spanned England as well as France. Recently he talked about the potential of the youthful squad at Tottenham and how they would be able to put up a good opposition in the Champions League games in the upcoming season. It is indeed one of the younger squads that is part of the Premier League. Gallas feels that Tottenham does lack experience as per other clubs, especially after he spent three years with them. However, he is confident that they can maintain their position in the main stage games in Europe. Gallas would know since he had played for Premier League clubs for the mainstay of his career. Chelsea players are returning to the training ground after a big break induced by the COVID 19 pandemic. Most of the players have returned to outdoor training, as some players are to be training in isolation for 14 days. This is due to the orders of the UK government that people returning from abroad should be quarantined. Willian, Pedro, and Alonso are some of the players who are training under isolation. The club has confirmed that they have taken enough measures to protect the players.
Blues are allotting an hour for each player who are living near training grounds. All the guidelines of social distancing are being implied and medical staff is appointed to watch the players. The decision to open training grounds was on the intention to give players a safer place and also to keep them away from all attention.

Atletico Madrid have not given up hope on signing Arsenal striker Alexandra Lacazette. The Rojiblancos made their interest in the Frenchman known during the January transfer window but no official move was made. Atletico needed a striker in January, since Diego Costa has been hit with a series of fitness issues. The former Chelsea striker has endured an injury hit season.
The club also made an approach for PSG’s Edinson Cavani. The Uruguay international has 6 months left in his contract in January and will be available for free at the end of the season. Atletico could not agree terms with Cavani’s representatives.

Some of them played half, while the others played 20. Again, there are some that went off only to come back after some time. In fact, there are some players who played for both the teams. Florent Malouda played the entire game and yet was close to match-fit at 39. The annual charity match of Corazon Classic that is held at Santiago Bernabeu was held amongst Chelsea Legends and Real Madrid, the host. It featured players like Fernando Morientes, Guti, Christian Karembeu, Claude Makélélé, and Ricardo Carvalho.
Real Madrid strode with a lead of 3-0 within twenty minutes irrespective of the best efforts by Carlo Cudicini in goal. However, the penalty by Shevchenko and the header by Poyet helped Chelsea to make a comeback. After this Christian Karembeu produced a large bomb for making it 4-2 before the half time after made few misses. The second half comeback of Chelsea had been stifled as Claude Makélélé became a little enthusiastic and got a penalty which was converted by Raul. It was William Gallas who helped Chelsea to get back to the game within 5 minutes before the end of the great flowing game.

He had last played his match for French Guiana against the Honduras which ended in a controversial draw of 0-0 by both teams.
The reason for calling it a controversial match was that Florent who had already been ineligible to play the match was brought in to play. He had been cap-tied to France after making his 80 appearances for Les Bleus. During this match, French Guiana played an offensive match the credit going to Malouda himself.
